Van no claims discount (NCD) FAQs

We may ask you to provide proof of your no claims discount (NCD). This can be either a letter from your previous insurer or your renewal invitation. The document must be in the main driver’s name, confirm the number of years NCD and include the vehicle details and date in which the previous policy expired. You can only use your no claims discount on one van insurance policy at a time. It must be no more than 2 years old.

If we have requested proof of your NCD, the quickest and easiest way to send us proof is by uploading it to your online account. Once logged in, click the ‘upload your documents’ button. Acceptable file formats include images files such as .JPG, .PNG, .GIF as well as .PDF.

If your policy is due for renewal, the renewal letter or schedule should count as evidence of your No Claims Discount (NCD) if this is requested by your new insurer.

If you cancel at any other point, you can use your Certificate of Insurance as proof of your NCD.
